CANUCKS

The Vancouver Canucks are a professional hockey team originating in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. They are members of the Northwest Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League. All home games are played at the 18,000+ capacity General Motors Place Stadium.

The Canucks joined the NHL league in 1970 as an expansion team along with the Buffalo Sabres. In its 38-year NHL history, the team has advanced twice to the Stanley Cup Finals, but was defeated both times by New York teams; NY Islanders in 1982 and the NY Rangers in 1994.
